Webb13 maj 2008 · polyester resin comes in two flavors , waxed and no wax. No wax stays tacky because you want to apply more layers. Waxed is also called finishing resin. Waxed cures hard and not tacky and can be sanded within hours. If you are satisfied with your work, you can paint over the tacky polyester resin with oil based paint and it will finish curing.
